Topic: Weather and seasons.

Objectives: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able:
                   to  use the words from the topic “Weather”;
                   to  complete the sentences;
                   to  compare the weather in different parts of the world;
                   to  answer the questions about the weather;
                   to  work in pair to solve a problem.

 Type of the lesson: combined lesson

Materials: multimedia presentation,  computer, CD player, CD, cards, worksheets,
                   weather labels.
Procedure
I. Introduction
T.: Good morning pupils! I’m glad to see you here. I’m sure you are ready for active work today. 



1. Brainstorming
T.: Today we continue to learn more about Seasons and Weather. We`ll revise, develop our reading, listening, communicative and creative skills. We`ll do different exercises and crosswords. It`ll be a great opportunity to improve your English and learn something new. We are going to speak about the weather in different seasons.

1. Practice topic words
 T.: So, let’s start the lesson with the words task.
Look at the blackboard. You can see the pictures.

T.: Let`s do exercise 4, page 155. Look at the map of  Europe. Make the information forecast for European cities.. Ask and answer the questions.
5. Reading
1) Pre-reading activity
T.: Do you remember the meaning of the words the north, the south, the east, the west?
2) While-reading activity
T.: Read the forecast for tomorrow`s weather in the UK and Ireland and complete the map on your worksheets.
4)    Post-reading activity
T.: Change the worksheets with your partner. Check the results.
