  (A Contest for Pupils of Form 4)
Aims:
-         to revise the alphabet;
-         to recycle vocabulary and structures learned previously;
-         to read, understand and translate the words, sentences;
-         to use learned words in the context of songs;
-         to develop pupils’ skills of listening, reading and spelling;
-         to develop pupils’ interest in learning English.
Equipment: cards, screen, presentation, tables.
T.: Hello, dear pupils. Nice to meet you again. Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. It’ll be a lesson – соmpetition.  Be very attentive and try to do everything correctly.

T: I hope that you remember the alphabet. Your first task to fill in the letters of the alphabet.
T.: The next contest is called «Find the mistake»
1. He are my best friend. (is)
2. Children usually go to school at night. (in the morning)
3. I is playing a team game. (am)
4. She shall go to the party tomorrow. (will)
5. I have 5 book. (books)
6. They is sisters. ( are)
7. What is your names? ( name)
8. I see one dogs. ( dog)
 “Understand me”
T.: It’s a famous kind of game.  I tell the word to one pupil and then he or she must show it. The guests and other pupils must recognize what is it.
(to play football, to read a book, to dance, to paint, to swim, to sing song)

T.: It’s time to have the musical break.

“Make up the poem”
T.: Now make up the poem putting the sentences in the correct order.
I am playing a team game.
I am watching my TV.
I am acting in a school show.
I am climbing a green tree.
Lots of things I do and act,
Have and make, read and take.
So many things I watch and see.
They are all good for me!
